ART Turbos - Our Mission

A Career Dedicated to Perfecting Turbos

ART Turbos was founded by Mac Flynn, a lifelong gearhead who has always been intrigued by anything with a motor. From tearing apart engines in the family garage to building his first go-kart at the age of 12, his passion for understanding how things work never stopped.

Mac went to school for automotive repair and eventually landed in product management for turbochargers. Spending over a decade working directly with industry-leading manufacturers like Holset, IHI, Garrett, and BorgWarner, he gained an insider’s perspective on what separates a good turbo from a great one. His primary focus was always on learning the intricate details of turbochargers, with the ultimate goal of helping others understand a vehicle component that is so often misunderstood.

Why ART Turbos Was Born

After years on the manufacturing and product side for household names, Mac realized there was a massive gap in personal service within the industry. He wanted to get back to working with his hands, crafting products built to the absolute best of his abilities. Instead of focusing on mass production and cutting corners, he wanted to bring back the lost art of restoring components the right way. ART Turbos was born from a desire to provide the exceptional, honest customer service that is so often missing from today's larger companies.

The ART Turbos Difference

Mac believes in doing business the right way: built on Accountability, Honesty, and always putting the customer's best interests first.

Because ART Turbos is an independent, owner-operated shop based in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, every single turbo that comes through the door gets Mac's personal attention. Whether you are ordering a direct replacement turbo, needing precise VSR balancing, or looking for actuator calibration, you aren't dealing with a faceless assembly line. You are dealing directly with an expert who has spent over two decades wrenching and mastering his craft.
